We are a family of four visiting Kyoto with 2 daughters aged 14 and 11.
Makoon‘s tour was exceptionally planned and informative. He did an amazing job of keeping the tour interesting for all ages – our daughters didn’t want it to end.
The tour through Gion incorporated the Kiyomutzi- Dera Buddhist temple and an interesting wander through the beautiful old town of Gion. Along the way we stopped for delicious local delicacies as well as a well deserved coffee break during which Makoon gave us wonderful insight into the world of the Maiko and Geiko tradition. We were extremely lucky on this day to catch a rare glimpse of some Maiko and Geiko hurrying along with their daily duties. This was a real highlight!!
As we didn’t want the tour to end- we convinced Makoon to join us for some lunch afterwards.
Makoon was an excellent tour guide – extremely professional and extremely well organised.
We look forward to coming back to enjoy more of what Kyoto has to offer.
