This was our second tour in Kyoto with Makoon. Our first tour was in 2018 (7 years ago) with just 3 of us. We had such an amazing experience back then that we immediately thought about Makoon when planning our group visit to Kyoto again this year.
This time our group was much larger (7 of us) and Makoon was so gracious and kind to fit in as many of our requests as possible. We spent a full day touring many parts of Kyoto and had the best time. We learned a lot about the history of Kyoto and Japan and saw so many beautiful sites. The Zen garden was one of our favorites.
Makoon is not your average tour guide, we consider him a friend (which is exactly how he makes you feel).
I would highly recommend booking a tour with him, no matter how many times you’ve visited Japan, I’m positive you won’t be disappointed!
