Our experience with Makoon was truly exceptional. I unexpectedly injured myself in Tokyo before we met Makoon in Kyoto and Osaka. We were overwhelmed and unsure how the rest of our trip would unfold, as I was wheelchair-bound and unable to move well. Makoon stepped in with compassion, professionalism, and impressive problem-solving skills. He revised our itinerary to ensure wheelchair accessibility and even personally called sites ahead of time to make necessary arrangements. He also helped us purchase a handicapped seat on the Shinkansen over the phone! Thanks to his efforts and dedication, my family and I still greatly enjoyed Kyoto and Osaka. Furthermore, Makoon made each stop feel meaningful, as he shared personal stories, niche historical and cultural details, and insightful commentary that brought every location to life. Makoon ultimately made what could have been a disappointing situation into one of the most memorable and heartwarming travel experiences we have ever had. We are so grateful and would absolutely recommend him to anyone traveling to Japan, especially those looking for someone who goes above and beyond.
